How to Setup SmartDNS on Mikrotik Router

  1. Login to your Mikrotik router user interface. The default IP address is 192.168.88.1

Note: The default username is admin, and there is no password.

The below instructions were done on the browser Webfig interface. The instructions will differ slightly if you are using the Winbox interface, but the principle is the same.

  2. Next, click on IP at the left bar, followed by DNS.
  3. Click on the arrow beside the Servers option, and enter 212.32.240.145 as your primary DNS. Click on the arrow again to enter 104.200.137.81 as your secondary DNS.

Ensure the option Allow Remote Request is ticked and click on Apply.

Important

The first step of troubleshooting should always be to restart the device(s) and router. Then check your setup status in your SmartDNS dashboard
