How to Setup SmartDNS on DD-WRT router

  1. Find your router's IP. Follow this guide for more information on how to get it.
  2. Open your web browser and enter your router's IP in the address bar.
  3. Log in to your router. Default user info for DD-WRT is root/admin.
  4. Go to Setup > Basic Setup > Network Setup > Network Address Server Settings (DHCP).
  5. Set DNS to 212.32.240.145 and 104.200.137.81
  6. Click Apply Settings.
  7. Go to Services > Services > Services Management > DNSMasq > Additional DNSMasq Optionsand enter the following in the text box: strict-order
  8. Click Apply Settings.
  9. Restart connected devices.

The first step of troubleshooting should always be to restart the device(s) and router. Then check your setup status in your SmartDNS dashboard
