How to Find Your Router's IP Address

Sometimes, our router guides' IP addresses are not accurate as you might have a slightly different setup. Here is how to find the IP address of your router. Once you have found the IP address, simply enter it into your browser, and you will be able to log in. Find Router IP on Windows

  1. Open up the program command prompt.
  2. Type “ipconfig” without the quotes and press enter.
  3. The IP address from the default gateway is most likely the IP address of your router.

Find Router IP on OS X

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. ​Go to Network
  3. Click Advanced
  4. Go to TCP/IP – here, you will see the routers IP

The first step of troubleshooting should always be to restart the device(s) and router. Then check your account status in your SmartDNS dashboard.
