What is a VPN?

How does VPN work?

Once you connect your device to our VPN servers, you will be assigned a new IP address. All your traffic is encrypted and tunneled through the VPN server you are connected to. Hence, you can surf the web anonymously, hide your real location and IP address, and bypass Internet filters and geographic restrictions.

What is an IP address?

First, it is important to differentiate between two types of IP addresses: Your external (public) IP address and you internal (private) IP address. Your external IP address is issued to you by your ISP. It indicates your geographic location. Your internal IP address, on the other hand, is issued by your router to the devices connected to it. Each device has a different private IP, but all the devices connected to your router share the same external IP address. Once you connect one of your devices to a VPN server, its external IP issued by your ISP will be hidden, thus, hiding your true location.Web sites or apps you visit while connected to VPN will only see the IP address you are assigned by the VPN server.
